Black Vinyl Sofa by Directional
9 ft. Vintage Black Sofa by Directional.
This is a vintage sofa designed by Directional and manufactured by Sedgefield in High Point, NC. It dates from the late-60s or 1970s and is tagged with Directional's logo. Directional commissioned many of the era's top designers, including Paul McCobb, Milo Baughman, and others. We have been unable to find this exact design, but its profile is very similar to those produced by McCobb (the cylinder legs being the most significant difference).
This sleek, low profile sofa was found in the home of a doctor in rural eastern Ohio and appears to have had very little use. Its black vinyl upholstery is in great shape with hardly any wear. The down-filled cushions are soft and the frame is sturdy. The only noticeable issue is a water stain on the light decking fabric, but it is completely hidden under the sofa's cushions.
