Parallel Credenza - Barney Flagg by Drexel - Sweet Modern - Dining Room & Kitchen
This is a handsome mid-century credenza by Barney Flagg for the Drexel Parallel line. It was made in the 1960s and is finished in medium tone walnut.
This credenza provides a wonderful variety of storage. The left compartment has an adjustable shelf that is hidden behind a rolling tambour door. The tambour door makes this a perfect compartment for TV and stereo components that need to be visible to your remote controls. The panel behind this compartment could be unscrewed to feed cables through it (no need to drill holes).
The center door has a push-to-open latch and holds a shelf along with removable vertical separators. We are guessing that these separators were traditionally used for photo albums, but they would work just as well for vinyl records. The bifold doors on the right hide a pull out shelf drawer. (The turntable and records are shown for demonstration purposes only and are not included.)
This piece is in great vintage condition. The top has been refinished and looks new. The tambour door runs smoothly.
